National EHE Meetings
These meetings feature presentations by academic investigators and their implementation and community partners funded through NIH EHE awards. Designed to impart local knowledge derived from the funded projects aligned with the key pillars of protect, diagnose, respond, and treat. They highlight data, best practices, and generalizable findings among the Ending the HIV Epidemic project teams along with offering opportunities for networking and exploring collaborations among researchers, government leaders, community members and public health partners.
2019 National EHE Summit
In September 2019, NIH announced the selection of 65 science-practice partnerships to prepare for more extensive implementation research proposals as part of Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America. Organized by the Third Coast CFAR in October 2019, this summit was a precursor to the national EHE meetings.
2021 National EHE Meeting
On April 14-15, 2021, more than 300 academic investigators, government scientists, local health department professionals, and community members from throughout the U.S. participated in the virtual National Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) Meeting hosted by the NIH and the DC CFAR.
2022 National EHE Meeting
The 2nd National Meeting for Research and Community Collaboration towards “Ending the HIV Epidemic in the US” was held in Birmingham, AL on Sept 15th, 2022 and hosted by the UAB CFAR.
