Coordinating with EHE Projects Across the United States

ISCI connects with the Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) funded implementation research (IR) Projects across the United States in partnership with the Implementation Science (IS) Hubs. Our team has strategically developed several avenues that EHE Projects can use to connect discuss, and advance research aims and share lessons learned with one another.

Learn more about the work the implementation science Hubs are facilitating, watch our National Kickoff video, and scroll through our website for more resources.

What are Implementation Science Hubs?

Hubs play a primary role in the initiative by offering key services to an assigned group of projects throughout the year.

Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Tailored consultations
  • Webinars
  • Peer-led learning opportunities

Hubs also support projects with progress reporting to the National Institutes of Health (NIH). In addition, they enable the harmonization of implementation outcomes. This allows us to glean lessons learned across contexts and settings involved in EHE activities.

Hubs contribute to:

  • Global planning through ISCI executive committee
  • Refinement of our interactive tools
  • Development of infrastructure necessary to conduct multisite HIV implementation research
What are Ending the HIV Epidemic Projects?

For FY22, NIH announced 66 awards to institutions participating in the NIH-funded Centers for AIDS Research (CFAR) and the NIMH AIDS Research Centers (ARC) programs. We refer to these as “EHE Projects.” These projects will support research in 33 priority counties, Washington, D.C., and San Juan Municipio (Puerto Rico) to strengthen research-community collaborations and enhance the implementation science knowledge base needed for Ending the HIV Epidemic in the U.S. (EHE). The projects involve partnerships between CFAR/ARC investigators, local health officials and community groups in EHE priority areas.

EHE Project Dashboard

The EHE Project Dashboard is an interactive tool composed of hundreds of NIH-funded supplement projects that support pilot and formative studies to enhance the implementation science base needed for the Ending the HIV Epidemic Initiative. The aim of this tool is to broadly disseminate data describing the EHE project’s characteristics and findings that can help inform implementation of HIV prevention and care interventions. The dashboard will be updated periodically as new projects are funded.
