The 2024 United States Conference on HIV/AIDS (USCHA) took place in New Orleans, LA, with a focus on HIV in the South and the theme #SouthernJoy. The meeting centered the stories of those living with and impacted by HIV in the region, celebrated the transformative work happening across southern communities, and told stories of overcoming adversity while fighting systemic racism and numerous factors that drive disparities and injustice.
The program featured over 180 institutes, workshops, and 30 poster presentations on prevention, biomedical tools, advocacy, and treatment and research. USCHA brought together thousands of front-line responders leading the domestic response to HIV and AIDS – including consumers, case managers, health care and public health professionals, concerned advocates, and private sector partners. Attendees engaged in impactful discussions, networking, and collaboration with experts in the field, all with the overarching goal of addressing the challenges of HIV/AIDS in our communities to ultimately end the epidemic.
