Opportunities for implementation research studies in SAMHSA-funded Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics: Informational Webinar for Investigators

April 19, 2023
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has expanded the number of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) in the U.S. that provide comprehensive behavioral health services to children, youth, and adults who require care for mental health or substance use disorders. SAMHSA encourages implementation science pilot studies in CCBHCs and has created a database of clinics that aspire to practice-oriented research. The database is a rich resource for NIH extramural investigators interested in conducting research that aligns with priorities outlined in NOT-MH-22-170, and who are looking to identify potential practice partners.

In collaboration with the National Institute on Mental Health, NIDA invites implementation science research that supports the delivery of evidence-based practices in community-based mental or general medical settings (NOT-MH-22-170). Promising settings for such studies include CCBHCs funded through SAMHSA’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic-Expansion (CCBHC-E) grant program.

Investigators interested in pursuing research that aligns to priorities described in NOT-MH-22-170 can contact Dr. Tisha Wiley (tisha.wiley@nih.gov) for additional information.

In addition, investigators interested in pursuing this research opportunity with CCBHCs are invited to register for a short webinar to learn more about this initiative and explore the database in depth.
